Celebrating 27 years of heroic efforts on behalf of abused children
The Rocky Mountain Children's Law Center strives to deliver high quality legal services for at-risk and maltreated children, promote their healing and healthy development, and ensure that each foster child finds a permanent, loving home - whether this is with their biological family or a new family - as soon as possible.
For an abused and neglected child, life often feels like a broken puzzle. This feeling is exacerbated when a child is bounced from foster home to foster home, and denied a sense of stability or belonging. The Rocky Mountain Children's Law Center is committed to helping put children's broken lives back together.
What distinguishes our staff of full-time children's lawyers, clinicians, and corps of trained pro bono volunteer attorneys? We have a passion for protecting children's well-being, and are able to offer intensive, one-on-one attention to each child we serve. Our attorneys take the time to get to know every child, understand her history, and find out what that child needs to heal. Only after we have sorted out and put together the jumble of puzzle pieces from the past and present, can we hope that a child's life will knit together in the future.
The Rocky Mountain Children's Law Center works to ensure that every endangered and maltreated child:
- is safe from abuse and neglect
- can live with a loving, permanent family
- gets individualized, sensitive services and zealous advocacy to enforce his or her basic human needs
