Amy Hendrickson, Esq., Division Lead Staff Attorney

Amy Hendrickson has more than ten years of legal experience working with child victims in juvenile court. For years Ms. Hendrickson dealt with troubled families and children as Deputy District Attorney in the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. Many of the youth she prosecuted for misdemeanors were from unhealthy homes. This experience, and her experience prosecuting perpetrators of child abuse, drove Ms. Hendrickson to become a guardian ad litem with the Children’s Law Center in 2008.

A native of Colorado, Ms. Hendrickson earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University. She began her legal career as an intern at the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. After earning a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Denver - Sturm College of Law in 2000, Ms. Hendrickson became a Deputy District Attorney in the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office prosecuting both misdemeanors and felonies. The majority of her time with the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office was spent in Juvenile Court prosecuting perpetrators of physical and sexual abuse on behalf of victims.
