Heather Gwinn Pabon

Heather Gwinn Pabon has dedicated most of her career to working with abused and neglected children and adolescents. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Wittenberg University in 2000, Ms. Gwinn Pabon moved to Colorado and worked as a mental health counselor at a Denver-area residential treatment center and at The Children's Hospital's Child Psychiatric Unit. Her experience in these programs inspired her to go to law school to pursue her passion for advocating for children.

Ms. Gwinn Pabon earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2005. During law school, she served on the Denver University Law Review, on the Moot Court Board, and as Student Bar Association President. After graduating from law school, Ms. Gwinn Pabon served as a guardian ad litem in dependency and neglect cases in Florida.

In 2010, she returned to the Denver area, working in the private sector and specializing in labor and employment matters. She was recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2010 and 2011 in the areas of labor and employment defense. In 2011, Ms. Gwinn Pabon joined the Children's Law Center to return to her true passion - advocating on behalf of the child's best interest.
