JOB TITLE: Director of Development
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
DEPARTMENT: Development
SALARY : $80,000
We are currently accepting applications for the Development Director position with the Children's Law Center. The Director of Development is responsible for strategy and implementation of the agency’s financial development efforts. The agency seeks a candidate who will expand fundraising efforts and sources. The Director is the primary major-gifts officer and supervises efforts in corporate and foundation appeals, special events, planned giving, and direct mail. The Director is the key contact for Board of Directors and Development Committee members on matters related to development. She/he serves as member of the Administrative Team in policy-level and day-to-day functioning of the Agency.

Under the mentorship of a supervising attorney, law clerks may do legal or policy research about children, write legal memoranda and briefs, help to represent maltreated or foster children in court, and gain valuable child advocacy experience. University of Denver College of Law students may be eligible for work study wages or law school credits, while law students from other schools can earn "internship" or "externship" credits, depending on their particular program. Please note that these positions are otherwise uncompensated.
